Oil Spill Response

Environmental protection and preservation of existing natural resources is a global concern.  Harbor Star, together with the major oil companies in the country have established a project called Waterborne Industry Spill Equipment (WISE).  Its objective is to safeguard our marine resources against oil spills and other destructive chemicals that may pollute the seas and shores of the Philippines.

Our country being an archipelago of 7,108 islands, is highly dependent on shipping for the distribution of goods and services.  This exposes our seas and her vast coastline (where major industries of fishing and tourism are wide spread) to a greater risk of pollution.

Harbor Star, contribution a major role on this global effort of protecting the environment most especially in the seas and all that belongs to her.  Indeed, a priceless endeavor in the seas is our heritage that will be passed on to our children and generations beyond, definitely a “WISE” decision.
